An innocent soldier had just returned home for the holidays to spend time with his mom and girlfriend. They decided to attend a Mummers Parade dressed in his Army jacket. Little did he know he was about to receive the most HORRIFYING surprise of his life!

A soldier in the Army was home for the holidays and attended the Mummers parade with his proud mom and girlfriend in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. As the event was winding down, he was starting to leave when he got a sickening surprise from the crowd, and he never saw it coming.
Lori Freni was excited to have her heroic 19-year-old son Austin home and was soaking in every minute with him until it was time for him to go back to base in Georgia. His homecoming was a surprise to the serviceman’s mom after a stranger paid to fly him home. Lori was struggling to afford the airfare since Austin’s dad recently died of brain cancer and she was out of work due to disability. He attended the annual parade wearing his Army jacket without a clue as to who was watching him, and they waited until he was leaving to show what they were there for.
Austin was heading back to his car with his mom and girlfriend when a group of 10-15 men pounced on the soldier. They saw his Army patch on his jacket and had an issue with his service to our country, so they brutally beat him to the edge of death in front of his loved ones.
According to Fox29,
“Group of 10-15 guys walked by me (making) derogatory comments towards Austin’s Army jacket,” she explained.
Then she says one of the young men struck Austin before others piled on.
“Me and his girlfriend tried pulling them off and they hit us . We got hit in the face. She got thrown in the street,” his mom explained “He’s got to get plates put in his jaw and his mouth will be wired shut for the next eight weeks.”
Austin came home from Fort Benning, Georgia in a pre-Christmas surprise arranged by a stranger after Lori struggled to raise money for the airfare. Times have been tough since Austin’s dad died of brain cancer and she lost work due to disability.
Please pray for Austin and his family!
